BEHIND THE UNIFORM

For the 2025 Polizia di Stato calendar, Eolo Perfido photographed officers across different working environments. The series brings the individuals behind the uniform into focus, placing people and their activities at the centre of the photographic narrative.

A calendar gives each photograph a moment of its own. Seen together, the images become a sequence: different settings, different encounters, and a shared subject that connects them.

People and places

A portrait can be read through a face, but also through the space around it. In this selection, the relationship between people and their working environments offers a way into the project. Each photograph invites the viewer to pause, observe and look beyond a first impression.

Beyond the final photograph

The finished series is one way to explore the project. The backstage film offers another, taking the story beyond the still images and into the making of the calendar.
