COOKIE POLICY

Your choice comes first

Optional services are off until you consent. The banner offers Accept all, Reject optional and Customize. Statistics and external services have separate choices. Closing the preferences window without saving does not grant consent. Browsing or scrolling does not grant consent.

Open privacy preferences to change your decision. The same link is always available in the footer.

Essential local storage

epstudio-consent is a first-party localStorage entry, rather than a cookie. It stores the two choices, the policy version, the time of the choice and its expiry. Its duration is 180 days from saving the choice. Expired or incompatible preferences are not used. The entry is checked when the page loads and while it remains open; expired information is removed or replaced on the next interaction. Clearing browser storage removes the saved preference. If storage is unavailable, the choice applies only to the current page.

Normal browser caching may store local images, scripts and fonts for performance. It is not used by this site to track you across websites.

Statistics

Google Analytics is connected to the separate “Eolo Perfido Studio — 2026” property and loads only after statistics consent. No Analytics library, measurement request or cookieless ping is sent when statistics are refused, before consent, or from local and preview environments. Earlier analytics history remains separate.

After statistics consent, GA4 may use first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<identifier> to distinguish browsers and sessions. The cookie expiry is 180 days, with automatic expiry extension disabled. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in the implementation. The GA4 property retains event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months, with the user retention period reset on new activity. These settings do not govern most standard aggregated reports. Enhanced measurement is disabled.

External services

YouTube: the seven embedded players across Biography and Journal use youtube-nocookie.com and load only after external-services consent. Before that, a local placeholder is displayed, with no remote thumbnail or player request. Once activated, Google/YouTube may use cookies or other storage under its own policy; their exact names and durations depend on the player, browser and account state and are not controlled by this site.

Adobe Fonts: the existing licensed Futura PT embed is loaded only after external-services consent. Adobe receives technical font-delivery information. Without that consent, the site uses its local or system fallback fonts. Inter and Oswald are hosted locally and do not require optional consent.

Leica Camera: two official product photographs in the Leica M EV1 article load from Leica’s website only after external-services consent. Until then, the image areas show local placeholders. Leica receives the technical request when those images load.

Enabling external services from a placeholder enables this category, including YouTube, Adobe Fonts and Leica images; it does not enable statistics. External links open the destination only when followed and are governed by the destination’s own policy.

Withdrawal and changes

Rejecting a previously allowed category reloads the page with that category disabled. This stops active players and prevents optional resources from loading again. Accessible first-party Analytics cookies are removed. Third-party cookies already set on provider domains cannot be deleted by this site; use your browser’s controls or the provider’s privacy settings.

A new choice is requested after expiry or a material change to optional processing. Preferences apply to the browser and site origin in which they were saved. Read the Privacy policy for controller details, rights and provider information.
