THE SERIES
Clownville is a fine art photography series developed over ten years by Italian-French photographer Eolo Perfido with the invaluable help of makeup artist Valeria Orlando. After becoming a viral hit online and being exhibited in Brazil, Italy and Russia, the series is now available in a dedicated Art Box containing five fine art prints personally selected by the photographer.

Biba Giacchetti created a collection of Art Boxes with the works of Steve McCurry, Giampaolo Barbieri, Christian Cravo and Eolo Perfido.
Designed by Anders Weinar and customised for each author, each Art Box contains 5 fine art prints and is produced in an edition of 7.
EOLO PERFIDO
" I think the image of the Clown well represents people of today’s society: funny, but sad at the same time, wearing a mask that is tragic, grotesque and ambiguous. Drawing inspiration from characters of the silent cinema (in particular, Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, with their clown-like characteristics due to the heavy makeup and the excessive gesture that was necessary in order to convey expressions, emotions and actions) and fascinated by the whole production of Fellini, with his dreamlike atmospheres (above all, the film Le notti di Cabiria), the idea of taking portraits themed around Clowns started dawning on me. I ended up liking the making of the first photo so much that I turned it into a series that is still in progress. Among those who have posed for the series are well-known clowns, actors and photographers, as well as family and close friends. "

All fine art prints have been produced under the supervision of Eolo Perfido.

Printed on Canson® Infinity Baryta Prestige paper, every print is signed, numbered and certified by the author.
FORMATS
Three formats have been produced:
50 × 70 cm, 70 × 100 cm and 100 × 160 cm
Our fine art prints are Custom Limited Editions printed on exhibition-grade fibre paper, numbered and signed on the verso by the author.
Every print includes a signed certificate of authenticity that you will receive with your carefully packaged, gallery-quality print.
